Why Us?

RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) Chartered and Regulated practice

The RICS is the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. We have been affiliated to the RICS since our inception. We also actively support the RICS assessment procedures for new chartered professionals.

London-based and can operate in any area of England or Wales.

London is the capital city of England as well as the largest city in the European Union. It also has the widest historical range of buildings from ancient to super modern. Unlike Local Authority Building Control we are not restricted to working in the confines of one Borough nor are you obliged to use the Local Authority. Being London-based and by working in London for many years gives us the edge in terms of technical experience and expertise.

Operate a ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

The standard is used by us to demonstrate our ability to consistently provide a service that meets customer and regulatory requirements and to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Licensed and Independently Audited by the CIC (Construction Industry Council)

As an approved inspector we operate to appropriate professional and ethical standards in the delivery of our building regulations compliance service. CICAIR, who license this activity, introduced a code of practice for which they essentially benchmark Approved Inspectors against, and it is this, along with relevant key performance indicators, we have built our business operations around.

Carry Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance

We carry all the appropriate and relevant insurances. For greater consumer protection we cannot emphasise enough that you choose designers and builders (which may also be one in the same e.g. Design & Build) with the right level and type of insurances e.g. run-off cover and IBGs (insurance backed guarantees). Run-off cover is a type of liability insurance held within a Professional Indemnity Insurance policy which provides cover for work done by a business in the past even where the company no longer exists. An IBG (insurance backed guarantee) is to honour the terms of the installing contractor's own guarantee, where the installing contractor may have ceased to trade and is therefore unable to satisfy remedial claims made against their workmanship guarantee.

Operate a Bespoke Project Database

A well designed and reliable project database is the backbone of any successful business. Our database is well developed and sophisticated enough to manage data inputted by our plan checkers and site surveyors which is adequate and relevant ensuring we operate in a managed way whilst retaining information as required by our insurers, licensing body and in compliance with GDPR.
